# 03 - Packet I Questions

Candidates submit Packet I through the public application page.

This application is for the entry-level academy cohort. Do not apply as an experienced-hire or lateral candidate for this role.

## Required Answers

1. What have you built that actually worked?
2. What is Blue Lake / HomeEasy, in your own words?
3. Where does the business make money?
4. What would you build or fix first?
5. Sketch the system you would build for a continuous hiring or revenue captain.
6. What US Central Time overlap can you reliably support?
7. What is the earliest date you could start if selected?
8. Confirm that you understand this is an entry-level academy cohort, not an experienced-hire track.

## What Good Looks Like

Good answers are specific. They include evidence, uncertainty, and tradeoffs.

Weak answers sound generic, summarize the page, or claim expertise without showing how the candidate thinks.

## Evaluation Signals

- Can the candidate infer the business model?
- Can they separate fact from assumption?
- Can they name missing evidence?
- Can they explain how a system should behave when data is stale, duplicated, or incomplete?
- Can they write in clear English without sounding like a generic AI summary?
- Do they understand and accept the academy path rather than asking to be evaluated as a senior hire?
